The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced 15 artists who are in contention to join the Rock Hall’s Class of 2024. The potential class is headlined by Mariah Carey, Peter Frampton, and Mary J. Blige.

Other nominees include: Lenny Kravitz, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Oasis, Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade, and A Tribe Called Quest.

The 2024 nominees will be decided by a voting body of 1,000+ “artists, historians and members of the music industry,” according to a press release. The Hall’s 2024 class will be announced in late April.

This year’s induction ceremony returns to Cleveland, home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame headquarters, this fall. For the second consecutive year, the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will live stream on Disney+. It will air on ABC at a later, to-be-announced date, and be available on Hulu the following day.

Last we heard from the legendary songwriter Peter Frampton was in late 2023, when he added new spring dates on the “Never EVER Say Never” Tour. The 2024 tour will see the artist playing venues across North America, including a stop at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.

“I am delighted to let you know I’m planning more shows in March and April for the new ‘Never EVER Say Never’ Tour! I don’t want to give up my passion and will play as long as I physically can,” said Frampton. “Hope to see you in 2024!”

The upcoming shows kick off what promises to be yet another landmark year for Frampton, whose 2023 spring and summer tour announcements were unexpected by fans. The musician announced a farewell tour four years ago following a diagnosis of the degenerative disease inclusion-body myositis, but with the aptly named “Never EVER Say Never” Tour, Frampton is back, appearing on stages across America. Recently, Frampton was joined by Chris Stapleton who performed alongside him at his sold-out Ryman Auditorium show in Nashville in November.
